Final Solution is set in 1993 South Africa, right before Nelson Mandela was elected the county's first black president. When a white paramilitary group decides to raid a black village, shooting whomever they come across, things don't go as they planned. After all his comrades are killed the one remaining white thug flees for refuge to a black church. There he is confronted, surrounded, and defended by the very people he was trying to kill. The film is violent, but insightful, portraying neither black nor whites as heroes but instead pointing to Christianity as the only way to find true peace through asking for and offering forgiveness. This is a Christian movie with strong Christian principles underlying it, and it is far subtler than the average Christian flick (for example, there is no "obligatory conversion scene" as occurs in most films of the genre). A wonderful film, but the violence means this is definitely not one for children.
