Based on George Orwell's book of the same name, this cartoon tells the tale of a barnyard revolution that puts the animals in charge. Orwell used this setting to explore the evils of the old Soviet Union and its corrupt government. It is a dark cartoon, unsuitable for young children, but a great one for adults and teens to watch together and discuss. Another good film on this subject matter is the romantic comedy Ninotchka (1939), which pits communism against the excesses of capitalism.
