Christian independent filmmakers can rarely match the production values of their big budget secular counterparts. But in the realm of animation, Christian filmmakers can compete and are putting out videos that are of the same, or of a better quality than their secular competition.
The biggest problem with Christian animation is that the animators want to talk about God but they also want to be funny. Too often a line can be crossed and then our Holy God becomes the punch line or set up for a joke - he isn't given the reverence he is due. Fortunately there are at least a few films that are both funny and respectful.
